Everyone has a different moment when they decide that they want to become an entrepreneur. My journey started on the front porch of my parents house at the age of 19 when I decided that I was going to drop out of college and move some 6 hours away from home. Ill never forget my dad with tears in his eyes giving me instructions for my life. I was the 5th of 6 children, Ill say I was his favored, LOL, my story so I m sticking with it, and the first one to venture away from the small town that we grew up in.

His words still ring in my ears some 30 years later. He said enjoy life, take risk, don’t be afraid to fail and find away to work for yourself or get into politics. He said what ever you do, don’t give your life to a company like I have for the last 40 years. He went on to say he could have done more with his life but he did not for various reason, but he had managed to own his on home and wanted me to know that I always had a place to return in case life did not work out.

Those words gave me so much boldness as I went through life. It took me 10 years to finally step into the entrepreneurship journey. Its been ups and downs, but I am so glad that I took that leap of faith some 20 years ago.

I tell you more later about what lead to that decision. For now I want to leave you with 3 tips that can help you with your personal journey:

Think It….. Ink It…. and Do It.

At the beginning of each week, sit down and think about what 3 things that you must accomplish for the week that will lead you closer to your annual goals. Write them down and then put a plan in place to accomplish them. Make sure to read your weeks goal, 1st thing every morning.

Also upon retiring at night ask yourself, did you do what you said you were going to do today? What can you do better tomorrow and what do you need to release, that may be holding you back or worrying you.

Wash, rinse and repeat by taking massive action and just doing it every day.
