Jesus was a problem solver. He came to solve 4 major problems the world was facing: Learn how you can solve the problems your customers, clients, and patients are struggling with and grow your business quicker.

Jesus was a problem solver. He came to solve 4 major problems the world was facing:

1. Knowing that we had a Father that loved us and knew our needs and desired to meet them. (Matthew 6:8)

2. Die to sin and live righteously. (Hebrews 9:26)

3. Destroy the evil work of the devil. (John 3:8)

4. To provide an example of living a holy life and how we should live: (1 Peter 2:21)

  • How he handled temptation without sinning
  • How he lived blamelessly
  • How he nurtured a prayer life
  • How he relied on the holy spirit

Solving problems is a very important strategy that most entrepreneurs don’t think about or do very often when it comes to getting customers, clients, or patients to do business with them:

The bible talks about the problems we have and gives us solutions for solving them. What problems are you solving in your business and what solution(s) does your business offer to solve that problem?

As entrepreneurs, because we have to quickly move from problem to solution out of necessity, we tend to operate that same way with our customers, clients, or patients which is a big mistake.

You want to talk about the problem 80% of the time, the solution 15 % of the time, and your company 5% of the time all while keeping God first and on your heart and mind 100% of the time.

When you focus on being a problem solver, you will use parables and stories like Jesus did and capture the heart and attention of your customers and enter into the conversation already going on in their minds. If they are thinking about a solution in their minds they would not need you or your company. Your solution and your company fall on deaf ears without first addressing the problem in their heart and mind.

Here’s an example taken from Perry Marshall dot com where he outlines the importance of becoming a problem solver in your market. Great ideas are a dime a dozen. Even well-executed great ideas are on every street corner, but that doesn’t mean they’re successful in the marketplace.

Winning products and marketing messages talk to people about things they’re already wanting and thinking about. They address irritations that have been lurking under the surface. They solve problems that people have been lying awake at night wondering about and worrying about.

Several years ago I was working with a company whose “great idea” was scheduled delivery of household consumer products. The idea was that just when you were about to run out of something like taco shells or Kleenex or vitamins or peanut butter, the service would replenish your supply automatically.

All you had to do was decide on a delivery schedule and you’d never have to think about those items again. It was a great idea because it was convenient for customers and it was an automatic revenue stream for the company.

This looked very promising, but nobody was losing sleep because they might run out of toilet paper or shaving cream. Nobody was really thinking about this at all. It was a great idea from a salesman’s point of view but not from the customer’s point of view.

It was a flop. I, and a lot of other people, lost money in that business.

Why did it fail?

Because that business did not enter the conversation that was already going on in the customer’s head and heart.

You have to meet people where their at then take them where they want to go. Jesus taught us to speak to problems. In Matthew 17:20, paraphrasing, Jesus said to speak to the mountain (Problem), have faith, tell it what to do and it will be done,(Solution) for nothing is impossible for you. (With God) In your business, you have to do this for your customers, clients, and patience until they have enough faith to do it for themselves.

Here is what you want to do next.

1. Decide what pain does your product or service solve?

2. Write out the conversation that is already going on in your prospect's heart and mind.

3. Write out a marketing message that addresses the problem and harmonizes with the conversation that’s in their heart and mind.

For example: If your prospect was on a walk, taking a shower, and replaying their problems and negative thoughts, what are they saying. Or perhaps a couple, sitting at their kitchen table or lying in bed and talking to their spouse and having an emotional discussion about a problem, what are they saying to each other?

“If I could just __________ … ” If we could just__________….”

Fill in that blank and you’ll be able to help more people quicker and get to that life of abundance that is promised to you because you focused on solving the problems of others and serving them in the best way possible just like God did. He sent Jesus, the one and only solution needed to solve our problems.

How can your company become the one and only solution for the problems that your client, customer, or patient are facing?
